Red Nose Day 5/26/2016 – Tackling the Root Causes of Poverty and Social Injustice

rednose More than 16 million children in the United States – 22% of all children – live in families with incomes below the federal poverty level – $23,550 a year for a family of four.

“The aim of Red Nose Day is to bring about real and lasting change by tackling the root causes of poverty and social injustice. To drive this change, the Red Nose Day Fund awards grants to projects on the ground that work to give people a leg up, not a hand out.”

 

You can buy red noses at Walgreens this year. I purchased a bunch to give away as well as wear on the 26th.
