Every major platform is making its move. Google Cloud just published its HIMSS thesis, and Aashima Gupta called it directly: "In 2026, we're entering what I call an agentic moment for healthcare."

I'll be sitting down with Aashima on-site to dig into how Google is approaching this, and, more importantly, what it means for interoperability and for patients actually accessing their own data in an agentic world.

I'm also meeting with Microsoft Healthcare & Life Sciences leadership at their booth to get the other side of the story. When two of the biggest platforms in the world are racing to define the healthcare agent framework, the governance question isn't theoretical anymore. It's operational.

This is the part that fascinates me. I've been building and shipping AI in healthcare since before most people were talking about it. And what I see right now is an industry moving fast on agents while the hardest question goes unasked: when a patient's data finally flows freely, who builds the agent that works for them?
