Google Finally Opens up API to Developers

April 11, 2019 By Paul Swider

There are some organizations that might choose to use Google Sites as a ‘free’ solution for collaboration and document management. Many of these organizations will reach a point when they will migrate to a feature rich enterprise capable solution. Google has finally published a new Google Sites API allowing these clients to move data from Google Sites to SharePoint and other collaboration suites.

What is interesting is that many suggest this is a move to ‘go after’ SharePoint. I submit we will quickly see developers create new tools to migrate documents and data from Google Sites to SharePoint solutions.
