In our experience, the most effective way to deploy a solution such as SharePoint is via our assisted Pilot methodology which would involve your own staff from the very beginning and would allow the functionality of the new solution to be captured within a workshop environment. The assisted Pilot would contain the following phases:
1. Analysis of the IT environment and identify project risks / issues
2. Deploy a base SharePoint environment
3. Configuration and development of the portal solution to the functional specification
4. Final technical handover and training
During the Pilot, our SharePoint Consultants will make your staff aware of the extra functionality available in the full Portal Solution which would enhance the areas being developed during the Pilot.
